Smyth County Public Schools will be holding a public viewing and opportunity for public comment on a new English Language Arts textbook adoption for grades K-5 from Thursday, April 18, 2024 until Friday, April 26, 2024. Please visit your student’s elementary school during normal hours to view and provide feedback on the proposed materials.

Welcome to Smyth County Public Schools: seven elementary schools, three middle schools, three high schools, and one county-wide Career & Technology Center serving the students and citizens of Smyth County, Virginia. We believe that parent participation is key to student success; our new website is designed to provide parents with all the information they need to be active participants in their student’s education. You will find that the site works just as well on mobile devices as it does on a desktop so you can find information on the go.
 
The new websites for individual schools are still under development. You can get basic information about each school (address, phone number, etc.) by clicking the Schools link at the top of this page. As each school's new website comes online, we will add a hyperlink to the site on the Schools page.
